I figured that if I paid homage to Rene' Magritte, a similar tribute to Salvador Dali would also be fitting. In this work, I've touched upon his melting clocks... accomplished in this case by bringing a Photoshop image of a clockface into Kai's Power Goo by Metatools, pulling and stretching it, and returning to Photoshop. This done, I then filled the entire image with a gradient fill for a grayscale terrain map... making sure to keep the outline of the image constant, so the color pict would still match-up. The two Photoshop files are shown below.
