At Millpool we have a purpose built, brick, Kennel building, constructed in 1997, to EEC standards. This includes indoor and outdoor kennels, a puppy pen, exercise yard, whelping bay, hot and cold running water, heating, lighting, food preparation area and storage facilities.

• Indoor Kennels - we have 5 indoors units, each containing a dog basket.

• Outdoor Kennels - The 5 outdoor, covered units, are linked by hatches to the indoor units, but can be used independently of the inside units. All outdoor units have a raised sleeping pallet.

• Exercise Yard - Accessed from the outside units, this allows the dogs extra space during favourable weather.

• Whelping Bay - There are 2 indoor, heated whelping bays, separated from the main indoor units, for whelping bitches, and new born puppies.

• Puppy Pen - During the summer months, and when old enough, we have 2 pens for young puppies to run freely, one situated on grass. When the weather is too cold, we have facilities indoors for the puppies to be able to have more freedom.

All dogs are exercised at least three times daily, and kennels are thoroughly cleaned each morning, evening, and throughout the day as necessary. Whelping bays and puppy pens are inspected and cleaned throughout the day and bitches expecting puppies are closely monitored throughout the day and night.
