My Part of the Philip WELCH Family of Ipswich, Massachusetts

Philip WELCH was born about 1643 in the northern part of Ireland. In 1654, he was snatched from his bed and forcibly carried on board the ship Goodfellow, which sailed for Barbados. The Goodfellow put in at Boston harbor for repairs, and Philip WELCH along with another lad, William DALTON, were sold into bondage, to a Mr. Samuel SYMONDS, to serve out an indenturment until they each were 21 years of age.

And now a bit about my part of the WELCH family. My part to this "LARGE" family begins with Judson WELCH. He was the youngest of 11 children. His father, Bela WELCH, was about 66 years old when Judson was born in 1853 and died not long after.  
Bela WELCH is buried next to his step-mother, Orpha.   Older brothers and sisters helped raise the younger children.   Martha died in 1890 and is buried at Old Angola Cemetery, Angola, Indiana beside her children, John, Emma, and Dolly and Dolly's husband, William Wilder.  On Martha's tombstone is the inscription, " Wife of Bela Welch".
