Early Shows in July!
We've added 9 PM
shows on Saturday nights in July, so you early risers out there don't
have to miss out on the laughs!
Laughing Gas, Miami's longest-running comedy improv troupe, offers 90 minutes of music, sketches and spontaneous, interactive comedy at The Main Street Playhouse, located at 6766 Main Street, in Miami Lakes. Now in our 16th season, Laughing Gas appears every weekend, January through November. During the month of July, curtain time for our show is 11 PM on Fridays and 9 PM and 11 PM on Saturdays (the box office opens 15 minutes before curtain). Free parking is available north and south of Main Street on New Barn Road. Map and travel directions to the Main Street Playhouse. Admission to all shows is $10, cash or check, and tickets are available at the door. Laughing Gas also accepts the Primecard/IGT Card. For reservations, call 305-461-1161 and leave a message or just e-mail us (however, we have plenty of seats, and reservations are not required). There is no age restriction, and this is an alcohol-free event. Want dinner before the show? How about ribs at Tony Roma's next door? In more of a burger and shake mood? Try Johnny Rockets right across the street! And of course, Don Shula's Hotel and Restaurant is just one block west! You can join our e-mail news list and find out about the latest Laughing Gas shows and events. It's easy--just click on the E-mail Us link, and say, "add me to your list!" You can also visit us on MySpace.com for interviews and video clips of the show. Join our MySpace friends list for regular updates and special offers. WHAT IS IMPROV, ANYWAY?? Laughing Gas is a mixture of
sketches and improvised
comedy based on random suggestions from you, our studio audience, so
every show is different! Many of these improv formats have been made
famous on television's Whose Line is
It, Anyway? as seen on Comedy Central, BBC America and ABC
television.
That's right, we
really make it up as we go along! This is comedy on the edge. Laughing
Gas is
a leader in satirical and politically relevant comedy, often taking on
social issues and pop culture. It's guerilla theatre at its best,
and whatever's on the audience's
mind
is our raw material that evening. Each performance combines
improvisation
with music, sketches, news and commercial parodies and more, in a wild,
non-stop, 90-minute show. Want to see some video of Laughing Gas shows?
