Deshler Railroad & Heritage Days
Here are my pics of the Deshler Railroad & Heritage Days 2000. As usual you can click on a picture for a larger version. I will post pictures from other railfans on another page. That's why I use a digital camera. Much faster web page updates. When I have the time. LOL
Friday night at the park, most of the campers are here. The train traffic was good. A north bound train waits for trains to pass on both sides of him.
Here's a picture of Jim's new paint job. The CSX Public Safety Coordinator really likes it. We do too! We will be working with him to keep everyone safe!
Jim and Les exchange a handshake before the parade. Both have really helped out at the Crossroads Park!
Here comes the parade. Ron has the American Flag. Sandi, my sweetie, has the POW-MIA Flag.
The Q507-27 runs Restricted Speed through the car show on Sunday. The CSX Police are on the job to keep people off the tracks. Most people don't know that they are only to cross the tracks at public grade crossings. Even some railfans are guilty. Remember stay off the tracks! Sandi is not having a sit-in to protest. I just wanted a picture of her with the CSX Police behind her.
My mother stopped by from Tennessee. She met Sandi and the whole gang. We ate a chicken dinner. Then we watched one of Ernie Lyon's videos. It sure is nice to have power at the park. Thanks to everyone for all your help!
