Welcome to a site dedicated to the collecting of militaria from WW1 (Imperial) Germany, member states and Austria. The site is designed to display some of the more collectable items of the ordinary soldier.
My aim is to provide information for collectors, particularly regarding the various service and merit medals, as well as medal ribbons, ribbon bars and Medal groups, using examples from my own collection. Also included are 'Images' selection of photos, postcards and Death cards.
Content is taken from various source materials and includes information provided by other collectors(with particular thanks to Jan Zirkle and Michael Muller), to provide as comprehensive a guide as I can obtain.
It is through my own collection that I have noticed an apparent lack of information on this subject, from a general collectors point of view, on the www.
From time to time items that become available for sale or trade will also be listed.
