Here is a list of the current items that I would like to obtain. . .
1. A copy of either a digital photo or tracing of an Officer's dogtags
It should be of an Officer who was in the Naval Reserve serving during WWII.
It will be oval in shape
I am not sure if it is stamped, or engraved.
As I remember my Dad's dogtags, they appeared to be engraved since there was no obvious stamping visible on the back side of the dogtag
I want to recreate a set of dog tags as close to accurate
2. Any photos of other subchasers from either WWI, or WWII
3. A subchaser manual that was issued during WWII. I had seen one in a book store in Florida; but it was already spoken for.
4. A picture or other representation of the Ship's plaque. I am not sure what information was contained on the plaque, or even where it was mounted.
5. A picture or other representation of the Ship's flag. Again, I am not sure what information is shown on the flag, or pennant.
6. Any photos of the Disney characters that were painted on the ships during WWII. Also the approximate location of the characters.
