CRIMINAL PRACTICE AND PROCEDURE

Anthony Cosio has had over eight years experience in criminal law. All criminal matters are handled at every level of jurisdiction. Mr. Cosio has handled cases ranging from high profile criminal matters, three strike cases to matters as basic as a traffic ticket. While attending the University of San Francisco School of Law, Mr. Cosio interned with the Marin County Public Defenders Office for one full semester as a Certified Legal Intern.

Pretrial motions are routine for most felony matters. Court appearances vary from arraignments, preliminary hearings to full adversary jury trials. Counseling programs which are court monitored have also been arranged by Mr. Cosio.

Mr. Cosio can offer a consultation either in jail or at his office which provides a thorough discussion as to the charges, proceedings involved, possible dispositions, and fee arrangments all in one visit.

Typical cases involve Driving under the Influence, Possession of Controlled Substances, Lewd Conduct, Three Strike Cases, Expungement of Sex Offences and Felony Assults. Jury trials are quite common in the event of no disposition prior to trial.
