West Roxbury Neighborhood Council
– 27 Sept 1999Police Report from Jim Hagerty
Officer Hagerty was not able to produce the usual Police Report because of computer problems. Car break-ins continue to be a problem.
Someone asked about students crossing VFW Parkway to get to West Roxbury High School. It was stated that the MBTA will open a new stop on Rivermore Road that should eliminate the need for students to cross the Parkway to get to school.
If you have any questions call Sergeant Roy Chambers at 343-4564

Rocco Guerriero, Manager West Roxbury Post Office, on Plans to Relocate the Post Office
The Post Office plans to move from its present location on Centre Street to a location with more space and parking. The process of finding a new location will start after the New Year. Those planning the move will meet with the community for our input on where the new Post Office should be located.
Mr. Guerriero was thanked for his effort in having post boxes installed on the other side of Centre Street across from the Post Office. These boxes have the same pick up time as the post boxes in front of the Post Office.
