I went for my third doctor's appt. today. The office was a bit slower than last time, so I only had to wait about 15 minutes. (Much better!)
I had a list of questions to ask the doctor today, one of which was "Can I go on any rides at Disneyland?" She said that I can't go on anything that will shake me around. Bummer, but we can still have a good time when we go! There are plenty of other things to do there.
I also asked her what the due date was, since I never really got an official one. She said it is June 5th, give or take a week or two. So, basically, it could be born anywhere from May 22 to June 19. (Hopefully it won't wait until June 19, for my sake!)
I got to hear the heartbeat again!! I love that sound, it is so reassuring!
I got blood drawn for an AFP test. It stands to alphafetaprotien (I think), and it is a test to see if there are any birth defects. I'm sure it will come back just fine!
The other bit of great news that I got was at the next appt. (Jan 20), we will be doing an ultrasound! It is going to last 45 minutes, so I can't even imagine what we are going to be seeing! I can't wait to see my baby again! (Neither can Brad - he hasn't been able to make an appt. since the first one, and he is not going to miss this one!) The won't let us tape it, something about the contract with the ultrasound company, but thet will be giving us lots of pictures, which will be up shortly after.
No, sorry, but we will not be finding out the gender of the baby. We will all have a huge surprise sometime in late May or early June.

A little funny:
We had just gotten back from Vegas with my family. I had a funny dream the next night about the test. The nurse called with my blood test results, and asked me if I was a smoker. I was totally shocked by that question because I'm not! She said that there was enough smoke in my blood for me to be a smoker. I laughed and told her that we just got back from Vegas.
I thought that was funny because that is the one thing I hate about Vegas! Other that that, we had a great time!
