generations
1st: single Ty heart, wider, ty written in lower-case and
"skinny" and outlined in gold foil, no birthday or poem, copyrights, age
suitability, and care located on back; black and white tush tag with year 1993, no Ty
heart or name of Beanie
2nd: double tag, like a book, front is the same, not as
wide as first, inside left contains info, care, and location where it was made, name and
style number on the inside right along with To:___ and From:___ "with love";
tush tag remains the same with year 1993
3rd: front is different, ty in puffy lettering, inside
left contains Beanie Babies Collection, copyright info, office locations, and handmade
in.. info, the inside right stays the same, the outside back of heart contains care and
suitability; earlier third generation tush tags have black and white tush tags with year
1995 and no heart or name of Beanie, later tush tags have red print and red ty heart, but
no beanie name
4th: outside front has a new five pointed star with Beanie
Original Baby written inside and ty is no longer outlined in gold, inside right is changed
- To:___ From:___ "with love" has been replaced with four-line poem, birthday,
and "Visit our web page!!!" http://www.ty.com;
early tush tags have red print with Beanie name, mid-generation tush tags have a temporary
star sticker, later generation tush tags have printed red star
5th: Comic Sans is now the new font on heart/swing tag,

factories closed, many collectors consider these beanies more valuable
Korean Beanies: better quality beanies, sent to Canada and Europe,
more beans, many collectors consider these beanies more valuable as well
Mint: perfect condition, with perfect hang tag and tush tag
Mistag: switched tags; i.e. Prance with Pounce tags
New Releases: the latest Beanie Babies released by Ty; hard to
find at first, but start to appear 1-2 months later
Newbies: short for new releases; also, a new collector of
Beanies

Swiftacher: red or sometimes clear plastic attacher which
