Materials Size 10 ecru crochet thread 5 yds. 1/8 green satin ribbon Bunch of 12 tiny ribbon roses Wood curtain pole ring that fits a 7/8 diameter pole About a yard of 1/4 gold ribbon or strung pearls Crochet hook size E Steel crochet hook size 6 Hot glue gun and glue stick
Round 1: With the green ribbon and size E hook, work 35 sc around the pole ring, starting at the left of the eye hook and working around; join with a sl st in front of the eye hook to the first sc; fasten off, weave in ends. (35 sc)
Round 2: Using size 6 hook, join crochet thread with a sl st to the first sc, ch 1, sc in the same st, ch 3, sc in the same st, (ch 3, sc in the next sc, ch 3, sc in the same st) around; ch 3, join with a sl st to the first sc. (70 ch 3 loops)
Round 3: Sl st into the first ch 3 loop, ch 4 to count as the first dc and the first ch 1, (dc, ch 1) 4 more times in same loop; (dc, ch 1) 5 times in each remaining ch 3 loop around; join with a sl st to the 3rd ch of the beginning ch 4. (210 dc)
Round 4: Sl st into the first ch 1 sp, ch 1, sc in the same sp, (ch 1, sc in the next ch 1 sp) around; ch 1, join with a sl st to the first sc. Fasten off. Weave in ends. (210 ch 3 loops)
Finishing
Cut roses from stem, being careful not to untwist rose. Glue roses evenly around wreath, leaving a 1/2 space for the bow in front of the eye hook. Weave the gold ribbon or pearls serpentine-style through the roses, tacking with glue as needed. Tie a small bow with the gold ribbon or pearls and glue to the open space in front of the eye hook. Tie a length of the gold ribbon or pearls to the eye hook to hang. |
