A South Carolina native, DeLoris Spires, is married and has two grown children and five grandchildren. She unofficially retired after twenty-seven years in the accounting field to spend her time developing her overwhelming love of writing. 

Her first two books, Walt and Emily and Filtered Logic published by Poet Works Press, gave her much needed courage to venture into novel writing.
