How to search this site:

1. If you are searching for a specific year Corvette we suggest you use the "Edit" and "Find" or "Find in
    Top Window" function of your browser.
2. All ads are placed as "Text" and can be "searched".
3. Remember some ads might be placed using an abbreviation of the year. For example '63 instead 
    of 1963.
4. You can also search for locations by using Keywords in the same manner.  For example you might want
    to search for "Florida" as a location.  

How to prepare your ad:

1. All advertisements are text only (no photos) however if you have photos posted on the internet we will be
    glad to place a link to that location if you provide us the URL.
2. Please do not provide links to E-Bay items as these URL's are subject to frequent change.
3. Think about how you want to describe your Corvette.
4. At a minimum you should provide the year, the color, the body style, the engine size, the transmission type and the
    mileage.
5. You will also need to provide a means for prospective buyers to contact you.
6. Most users provide an e-mail address but you may wish to provide a phone number along with 
    or instead of your e-mail address.  Remember however that this information will be posted on
    the internet and you may not want your unlisted phone number openly available to everyone.
7. While you should never provide your address, you should provide a general location of the vehicle
    offered for sale.  For example "Tampa, Florida".
8. While not mandatory you should provide a "asking price" to give prospective buyers some idea of what
    you are expecting to sell the vehicle for. 
9. Be sure to list any "special features" on your car.

How to submit your ad:

1. Your ad will be submitted to us via standard e-mail.
2. If you intend to use your e-mail address for potential responses, the e-mail address in the body of the 
    advertisement must be the same as the originating e-mail address.
3. If you are going to use a phone number be sure to include the area code and the hours during which
    you will accept calls.
4. When you click on the "Submit Advertisement" link below you will note that the subject line will read
    "Corvette_For_Sale".  Please do not modify the subject line or you e-mail may be overlooked.     

How the site works:

1. After we receive your e-mail advertisement we will enter your text ad into the data base / web page - 
    at the top of the page.
2. As new ads come in your ad will be moved down.
3. Each ad will have an "Ad Number" assigned to it and that number will appear to the left of your ad.
4. When your car is sold or if you need to make a correction to a previously placed ad you must use
    the "Ad Number".  Please don't tell us "The Yellow '75 is sold." as that means nothing to us.
5. The website is generally updated weekly (time permitting - we do have real jobs).  Please don't
    resubmit the same ad day after day - your ad will be posted in due process. 
6. Once posted your ad will remain on our website for as long as possible depending entirely on available
    storage space.  If you ad is "bumped" off but you still have your car for sale please resubmit your ad.
    We do not have the ability to retrieve old ads once they have been deleted.
7. When you car is sold you should let us know so we can remove your ad.  You must use the "Ad Number"
    to identify your ad and the originating e-mail must be the same as that contained within the ad.
8. If you have multiple / repetitive ads we need to know all of the "Ad Numbers" to remove all the ads from
    our data base.

2. We are not a broker and receive no financial consideration in any way for this free service.
3. We reserve the right to refuse any advertisement if we believe it to be false or deliberately misleading.
4. We cannot be held responsible for any e-mail or phone responses made to any of the ads placed
    on this site.
5. We will attempt to update the web site on a weekly basis when possible but make no guarantees.
6. Ads are posted by human beings and occasionally we make mistakes.  If you provide us with the
    "Ad Number" we will correct same as soon as we possibly can. 

Suggestions for sellers:

1. Establish a dialog (either via e-mail or over the phone) with prospective buyers.
2. Provide requested information and optionally photos of your vehicle to prospective buyers.
3. Never reveal the exact location of your vehicle until such time as you have determined that the 
    prospective buyer is legitimate. 
4. Avoid offers from foreign counties as these are frequently a money laundering scheme.
5. Avoid prospective buyer who don't ask the "right" types of questions.
6. Avoid any buyer who is eager to pay you more than you are currently asking - it's a scam!
7. Do we have to tell you not to take personal checks?

SCAM ALERT - USERS BEWARE!!

My name is Nancy Stuart and I’m also running an ad for a Corvette on this website. PLEASE READ IS WARNING! Two weeks ago I was contacted by pamelamartinwest@yahoo.com to purchase my Corvette and ship it to the UK. This is a fraud coming from Nigeria through way of the UK. Their check is a fraud. Do not take check to checking station as they will request or send them the shipping fee via Western Union. I was lucky and realized what was going. BB&T in West Virginia which the check was issued on has received numerous bad checks that are under investigation. I have filed a complaint on the above email plus global_auto@fastermail.com which tried the same thing. Fastermail.com is out of the UK. I have received three more emails from UK through Nigeria in the last three days. Oscarjayzz@yahoo.com, honey_shade2001@yahoo.com, and adamcollins@fastermail.com . I’m sending this just to make you aware of any deals that look suspicious. If they want to send you the shipping charges and have you wire these charges to the shipper beware. Nancy
