Why should we have devotion to the Blessed Virgin Mary? In answering this question and realizing who Mary really is, we are appalled to see all the tremendous outrages, sacrileges and indifferences which are being committed against her and how consciously or unconsciously, she is being pushed aside in complete disregard of GOD'S WISHES that her heart be venerated alongside the Sacred Heart of Jesus.

[IMAGE]In 1929, through Lucia of Fatima, Jesus urged all the Bishops of the world to unite with the Pope in consecrating Russia to her, so that His whole Church will recognize the conversion of Russia as having been brought about through the Immaculate Heart of Mary and that this devotion would spread throughout the world.
In that same year the Blessed Virgin also told Lucia, "There are so many souls that the justice of God condemns for sins committed against me." This statement is easy to understand in light of the many Catholics who become embarrassed when the subject of Our Lady is brought up for discussion. It is sad indeed to think of Catholics being ashamed of their heavenly mother who has endured so much and shown nothing but love for them.

God Speaks To Us.....in many ways.

God speaks to us in many ways. He speaks to us through normal channels of communication He has established, such as scripture and the Church. He also speaks to us through Mary in her many apparitions in the last 150 years.

The most common bond that unites all these Marian apparitions is Mary's motherly love and concern for her children of this earth. In most of these visions and apparitions that love and concern is presented as coming to us from Mary's Immaculate Heart. This all pure Heart is the very special aspect of the mother of Jesus and our mother that God is calling our attention to and that He wants honored at this time in history.

May all of us respond to the wishes of God and re-activate devotion to Our Lady in our parishes and throughout the world. The task will not be easy. The forces of evil will engage in spiritual warfare to prevent this from coming about. This should only spur us on to an ever greater determination. Our consolation must come from that vibrant apostle of Mary, St. Louis De Montfort, who foretold: "The power of Mary over all the devils will especially shine forth in the latter times, when Satan will lay his snares against her heel, that is to say, her humble slaves and her poor children, whom she will raise up to make war against him. They shall be little and poor in the world's esteem and abased before all, like the heel, trodden underfoot and persecuted as the heel is by the other members of the body. But in return for this, they shall be rich in the grace of God, which Mary shall distribute to them abundantly. They shall be great and exalted before God in sanctity, superior to all other creatures by their lively zeal so well sustained with God's assistance that, with the humility of their heel, in union with Mary, they shall crush the head of the devil and cause Jesus Christ to triumph."

IN 1933 THE BLESSED MOTHER APPEARED IN BANNEUX, TO AN ELEVEN YEAR OLD GIRL, NAMED MARIETTE BECO. SHE APPEARED AS "VIRGIN OF THE POOR". DURING THE COURSE OF THE APPARITIONS, MARIETTE SAID THAT THE PARISH PRIEST DIDN'T BELIEVE HER, HE WANTED A SIGN. THE BLESSED MOTHER ANSWERED, "THIS IS THE SIGN I GIVE TO THE PRIEST:" (AND IT IS DIRECTED TO ALL OF US)
