Some terms commonly used in discussing detoxification

neutrophil
a leukocyte which stains easily with neutral dyes
leukocyte
white blood corpuscle... Leukocytes act as scavengers and resist infection... Neutrophils ingest bacteria and small particles
glutathione
A tripeptide of glutamic acid, cysteine, and glycine. Found in small quantities in animal tissues, takes up and gives off oxygen; important for cellular respiration

An amino acid formed in the hydrolysis of proteins
glycine
Aminoacetic acid derived from many proteins including gelatin
cysteine
A sulfur-containing amino acid ... found among the decomposition products of proteins
