Lake Emerald is the largest body of fresh water in Broward County and is the centerpiece of the community and its lifestyle. Over three-fourths of a mile long and 80 feet deep, Lake Emerald provides windsurfers and sailboaters an ideal environment. On windy days sailboats and windsurfers gracefully skim the whitecaps.

And the fishing is great!  The private fresh water lake provides sanctuary for a variety of  fish including bass, bluegill, catfish, crappie, talapia, brim, carp, and other species.  Hundreds of feet of  wooden docks  and a two-story gazebo over the water make fishing a pleasure. Or cast your line from your own boat.  Our record haul was a 10 lb. 8oz. largemouth bass, a catch to make any fisherman proud. (In order to preserve the purity of the water, only electric motors are permitted.)
The lake is also a winter home to thousands of migratory birds including Ring billed Gulls, Laughing Gulls, Herring Gulls, Royal Terns, Coots, More Hens, Loons, and Pied billed Grebes. The early evening arrival of these  birds is a wondrous sight.

Amenities include 2 olympic-size swimming pools plus an additional satellite pool.  All  pools have sundecks, Jacuzzis and wooden docks. In addition the main pool features men's and women's saunas. During  the winter months the pools are heated. Located next to the main pool is the Lake Emerald Grill serving delicious food, beer, and wine at inexpensive prices. The menu offers something for every taste including burgers, chicken, and seafood. Talk about convenience!

 Other features include lighted tennis courts and picnic areas with tiki huts and grills for your enjoyment.

Overlooking Lake Emerald is a magnificent private clubhouse complex with wooden decks and floating docks. The clubhouse, with unobstructed views of the lake provides a perfect setting for parties, weddings, and Lake Emerald sponsored activities.  The panoramic view from the spacious ballroom is absolutely breathtaking.

The exercise room has an assortment of treadmills, stationary bikes, and weight-lifting equipment.  The game room has a pool table, ping pong table and darts.  The library has a small but varied selection of reading material and board games.

Convenient  Shopping

The peacefulness afforded by Lake Emerald contributes to the illusion that it is far removed from the necessities of every day living. However, it is convenient to to some of the finest shopping in Florida.
Sawgrass Mills, the largest outlet mall in the country, has over 270 stores. The Ft. Lauderdale Swap Shop, one of the county's biggest attractions, and the upscale Galleria Mall, are both minutes away. Many smaller shopping centers flourish in the immediate area. The main Post Office and the Fire Department are just around the corner.  Major grocery stores are also conveniently located. 

Lake Emerald offers the ambiance of country living coupled with the convenience of city living. You truly get the best of both worlds.

Lake Emerald provides a 24 hour manned security gate with additional roving patrols for your protection. Access to the property is strictly controlled for visitors by use of the Gatemaster computer program. Residents gain access by use of an electronic transmitter through gates located on two sides of the lake. A six foot high fence with seven foot hedges surround the perimeter of the property providing protection and privacy. The exterior walls are planted with colorful flowers and greenery.

Lake Emerald desires to assure that the quality of life is kept to high standards by the use of a screening committee for potential residents. A background check is performed which examines credit history, residency history, and also verifies income. After the application has been approved each resident must attend an orientation session to be introduced to the procedures, policies, and rules of the the Owners Association.

Buildings 105 and 106

Buildings 105 and 106 are luxury buildings with both lake and golf course views and a choice of three different unique apartment layouts. Building 105 has eight stories and building 106 has four. The air conditioned lobby and hallways provide an elegant and private entrance to your home. Included in every floor plan is a laundry center with washer and dryer hookups.

A twenty-four hour telephone monitored security system with camera is also a standard convenience of these exclusive homes.  Assigned covered parking spaces are also available on selected models.  Decorating features include fully mirrored closet doors, cultured marble vanities and screened-in balconies.

Other buildings offer views of two different lakes, one from your own front door and the other of Lake Emerald from your private screened-in balcony. The units feature large walk-in closets, pass-through kitchens, elevators, and laundry rooms on each floor. Front door parking is available for all first floor units.
