The Video Tape Trader
NOTICE
I am not accepting new traders. The only exception would be if you are overseas and have foreign programming to trade OR this is something we have already worked out through private e-mail. Feel free to ask, but please don't be offended if I don't answer or make a trade. Unfortunately there are those who believe it is compulsory to trade shows if I happen to have what you seek. If you are looking to start building a collection, please look elsewhere.
I am happy that I have the reputation of being slow, but worth the wait. Please feel free to ask around about my trades.
(Please enjoy Felix waiting for those *@?! tapes to show up from LLange10)
I do not trade with students at US universities. Too many film students trying to do "impressive" projects that have landed other traders into hot water, plus I don't run on "student time."
Since there are so many "junior lawyers" out there that seem to think they "know it all" about what is legal and what is not legal to tape/trade, etc. the following is a link to the Sony v. UniversalSupreme Court Ruling on home taping. Read it for yourself.....
The tape of preference
Unfortunately I need to emphasize that I do NOT sell tapes.I am not a company. Just a little old AOLer (that should tell you something right there!). Even though I specifically state this information on my Trading Termspage, it appears that a great many people don't take it seriously. If you only want to purchase a tape, please don't waste yourtime accessing my site. I don't want you to get your hopes up for something I may have and then be disapointed.
And now, on to the boring bits!.................
I have been taping since 1982, with a couple of items from the late 1970's. I collect comedy, vintage baseball games, Sci-Fi (NOTX-Files), british comedy and political satire, overseas episodes of American television, and other related items. Please feel free to send me a list, but please keep in mind that Trek, Simpsons, etc. are very common and most everybody with a VCR has those shows. I'm open to many things. Here is a link to the items on my want list.
I can also dub from NTSC into PAL mono for my overseas friends.
Here is a brief list of genres that I have for trade:
You can also access my want listand Trading Termshere.
If you want to know about the BIG dish that I always talk about, go to The BIG Dish page!

The powerful Sasha kitty will get you if you don't heed his warning below!
Unfortunately not everyone who visits webpages are honest people. Some are people who want to take away our right to trade. It has come to my attention that there are people who work for studios and production companies that pose as "traders" with the sole purpose to trick you into a potential copyright violation situation. Therefore, by e-mailing me you are acknowledging the following statement:
I affirm that I am not working for any television or movie production studio/network or affilated organizations. I am not employed by, or am a member of a professional organization such as ASCAP or MPAA or any other such group or association. I am not employed by the federal government, affiliated agency or any type of sub-contractor or independent agent. I am not a postal inspector. By e-mailing you I understand that these trades are collector to collector and any incidental costs that may be involved are not for product, but labor.
Let me know what you think about my page. Send mail by clicking here.

I try to keep episode guides of the majority of the shows I tape. E-Mail me at the address above if you have questions about your favorite show or if you want to trade ones that I have listed.
If you like Whoopi Goldberg or Australian telly, try Twisted Sister in OZ. A great trader in Canada has

Even though I am NOTa "fan" of the Disney Company's policies of taking credit of other early animator's works (Fleischers, Iwerks, etc.) there are still some things worth fighting for......
