WOBURN PUBLIC SCHOOLS - ONE OF THE MOST EFFECTIVE
SCHOOL SYSTEMS IN MASSACHUSETTS
The September 4, 1998 issue of THE BOSTON GLOBE has
declared Woburn one of the thirty-five most effective school systems
in Massachusetts.
The statement was made as the result of a study conducted
by the University of Massachusetts Donahue Institute in Boston.
After analyzing data from three recent standardized tests, senior
researcher Robert D. Gaudet found that Woburn students consistently
outperform statistical predictions based on social and economic
factors.
