Summer fun with a flair

Every now and then I run across a place that's delightful to the eye and yes, even delightful to the soul! Artist's Touch paint studio, located at 546 Crescent Boulevard in Glen Ellyn, is such a place.

Owner Mike provides a bright and airy studio where budding artists can test their creativity by painting whimsical and/or beautiful ceramic pieces which can be fired right on premise providing gifts and keepsakes.

Perhaps you'd prefer to design jewelry. There is a huge selection of glass beads and everything you need to create personalized accessories to your own delight or the delight of friends who receive your creations as gifts. By the way, if you have ceramic pieces you have never been able to complete, Mike will be happy to fire them for you at Artist's Touch.

With summertime at hand, this is a terrific place to bring your kids and encourage their creativity. It's also a great place for children's parties. Party packages are available for both kids and adults, and the private party room is available for an additional fee in advance. Patrons have held birthday parties, anniversaries, Boy/Girl Scout parties, showers, ladies' night out, girls' night out, bachelorette parties and more.

The adjacent party room is beautifully decorated with comfortable chairs and wooden tables and even a couch and a mini kitchen. Thirty-six guests can be comfortably seated in the party room which can accommodate up to 60 guests. Party room packages include unlimited use of paints and all other supplies for painting, plus a commemorative plate for every party person (10 guest minimum).

Should you prefer to have a jewelry party, there's a great selection of beads available. A helpful employee will assist with all your party needs. The party room can be decorated with balloons and games are provided, as well as disco lights for dancing. There is a room fee that is non-refundable two weeks from the day of the party.
