NOTE: This site is currently being updated, so there are incomplete listings for some characters. This will be a work in progress. Thanks. The creators of "Lost" have managed to keep the secrets of their show for over two full seasons. The purpose of this web site is to disclose what I believe are two of the main secrets of the show: First, that the writers are basing characters and plotlines on major figures and stories from Greek mythology, with particular emphasis on Jason and the Argonauts. Second, that they have drawn heavily from Robert Temple's book, The Sirius Mystery, which reveals the mythology of the Dogon tribe of Mali, West Africa that amphibious beings called Nommos from the Sirius system visited Earth thousands of years ago, and will one day return. I stumbled across these two secrets in March of 2006 while investigating other clues related to "Lost." There are far too many correlations for this to be coincidence, even in the "Lost" realm! If you can read this site with an open mind, and not get bogged down by the belief that "Lost" is reality-based drama, you may find this interpretation to be as intriguing as I do. Certainly it demonstrates the skill of the show's writers, because they've kept these clues hidden in plain sight for so long, while still writing cohesive storylines. By the way, if you're wondering what connection there could possibly be between ancient Greek myths and a tribe in West Africa, the following paragraph from http://www.geocities.com/SATANICREDS/sirius.html sums it up quite nicely:
