Below are some photographs of my RV-8. This is an experimental aircraft. This plane was completed in May of 1998 and made it's first flight on June 5, 1998. Empty weight is 1095 lbs. It is powered by a Lycoming IO-360-A1B6 (200hp) engine and a McCauley constant speed prop. Take off roll is about 250 ft. Climb out is 2000 fpm @ 120 mph. Cruise is 215 mph @ 8000 ft. @ 75% power with a fuel burn of 10.5 gph. We won GRAND CHAMPION EXPERIMENTAL KIT BUILT at both the Wilson, NC and the Rocky Mount, NC Fly In, fall of 1998.
