A Poem for Justin
Somewhere in the Heavens tonight,
a new star sends a glow.
To reassure those left behind, on the earth below.
That God has taken to his arms
our precious Justin Boy,
Who graced our lives for thirteen years,
and filled our days with joy.
We all will never understand,
why he had to part.
And leave behind this empty hole,
we all have in our heart.
Why he felt he had to leave
to go to heaven above,
to be with those he never knew,
with family we have loved.
So holding on to memories
is what we'll have to do.
His mischevious brown eyes so full of life
his smile we'll think of too.
The times we spent together,
the happy & the sad,
times when he was really good
and some when he was bad.
We'll keep them close within our hearts,
and reflect on them each day.
And when night falls ,we'll look above,
to the stars, and stop to pray.
We'll ask the Lord to comfort us
and help us all know why,
He had to leave so God could place,
a new star in the sky.
