Tyler McVey made four separate appearances on I Love Lucy, playing Ricky's friend Bill Hall in "The Charm School" (Episode 81); an officer aboard the ocean liner that took the Ricardos to Europe on Tyler McVey & Lucy"Bon Voyage" (Episode #140) (pictured at far right); and "Second Honeymoon" (Episodes #141); and a magazine reporter in "Lucy Raises Chickens" (Episode #171). McVey was one of the busiest actors in Hollywood during radio's golden age, logging appearances on more than 1,000 radio broadcasts from Tinseltown, including Fibber McGee & Molly, The Jack Benny Program, The Cisco Kid, Dr. Christian, Lux Radio Theatre, The Red Skelton Show, Burns & Allen, The F.B.I., Cavalcade of America, Red Ryder, Dr. Paul, The Great Gildersleeve, and Glamour Manor with Cliff Arquette. His more than 300 television credits, include Bonanza, Ellery Queen, Gunsmoke, Manhunter, Mayberry, RFD, Ironside, Eight is Enough, High Chaparral, The Name of the Game, Daniel Boone, Death Valley Days, The F.B.I., All in the Family, Wild Wild West, Lassie, Judd for the Defense, Voyage to the Bottom of the Sea, Highway to Heaven, Playhouse 90, Red Skelton, December Bride, Lux Video Theater, Climax!, The Jack Benny Program, My Friend Irma, Wagon Train, Maverick, Perry Mason, and Wanted: Dead or Alive, Feature film credits include All The President's Men, The Best Man,The Caine Mutiny, Dead Heat on a Merry Go Round, From Here to Eternity, Gus, Hello Dolly, Never a Dull Moment, Patton, Sleeper, The Day the Earth Stood Still, and The Strongest Man in the World.
