ACTIVITIES
Sportfishing, Scuba Diving, boat and land tours, horseback riding, small craft rentals, in addition to the activities on site: swimming at our safe beach and in our fresh water pool, games on our spacious 175-acre beachfront site, which is crowded with numerous small animals, including tree-dwelling families of howler monkeys and white-faced monkeys that live among the primary forest on the property and many varieties of birds. Be as active or as relaxed as you desire.
Fishing
Sportfishing for variety of fish--dorado (mahi-mahi), Spanish mackeral, yellowfin tuna, snapper, wahoo, and other good-eating and fun-to-catch fish found in the waters around the local islands in the Gulf of Nicoya (approximately 4-5 hours, mooring to mooring). Includes Tackle, Boat, and Operator. We'll prepare your fresh catch as your dinner entree, no charge.
- For 19' Panga (35hp outboard Launch): $200 for one guest, $240 for two , $270 for three
- For 26' Panga (center console 100hp OB): $275 for one guest, $330 for two , $360 for threeScuba Diving
We¹ll take you to nearby dive sites. Includes two tanks per diver, weight belt, boat,, and box luch and beverage. Offered to certified divers only. Equipment rentals available, but we recommend you bring regs, masks, fins, and BC, to ensure maximum fit and familiarit,y, although we can rent such items if necessary. (NOTE: If Dive Supervisor is desired in the water with divers, an additional operator is needed to handle the boat while divers are in the water--an additional charge of $50 will be added to the total.)

Dive/Fishing Combination Package
One tank dive followed by 1/2 day of fishing is available for 2 or 3 guests aboard, with same costs/inclusions/arrangements as above. Guests staying 3 or more nights receive 10% discount on fishing/diving rates. Contact Bahia Luminosa for arrangements and rates.
Boat Tour to Islas Tortugas
Depart Bahia Luminosa at 9 AM, arrive Tortugas Beach by 10 AM,
Depart Tortugas at Noon, back for lunch by 1 PM.Guests @ $65 per person: boat, operator, snack, and beverage included. Min 2, Max 6.
-------- Lost or damaged equipment furnished or rented will be charged at our replacement cost, to the guest¹s account at the Hotel.
Please include your desires as to Fishing, Scuba and/or Combination packages with your booking message and pay for same when booking.
Applicable Government taxes are not included and will be collected at time of your arrival at the Hotel. We accept U.S $, equivalent Colones, and VISA cards (only) at the hotel.
If arranging fishing/diving activities while at the hotel, please notify the office 24 hours prior to the day of desired activity to make arrangments and payment.

Small Craft
Various self-operated small craft are available on sit ( windsurfer and dinghys). Check with the office for rates, which vary from $7 to $15/hour.Waterskiing --one or two guests, one skiing at a time, $40 per hour that boat is away from its mooring in front of the Bahia Luminosa beach.
Kayaking
Self-directed or assisted kayak trips around the many islands and islets near Bahia Luminosa--advance notice is required to arrange the appropriate equipment.
Horseback Riding
Ride with a guide to a lovely waterfall with a "cool" pool at its base - you can jump in! Depart after breakfast, return in 4-5 hours, average. Enjoy the varied flora and fauna enroute. Hourly charge of $9 per horse, including the guide's horse is based upon departure time to return time. Minimum 2 Guests, Max. 6 Guests.- $9 per horse per hour, plus guide's horse (guide's services included)
Land Excursions
- Morning trip to and from the CURU Nature Reserve (see some pictures of CURU), departing after breakfast. Cost includes the CURU entry fee (max 10 guests, minimum of 3 guests. Return by our van or have Lunch at a local restaurant near CURU and return to Bahia Luminosa by taxi as some may desire to experience the attractions at the Nature Reserve for differing amounts of time.
Van will depart CURU for return to Bahia Luminosa at about 12:30, after approximately 2 hours at the preserve.

4 to 6 guests at $25 each
7 to 10 guests at at $20 each
The Hotel will arrange a taxi for Guests, if desired-- currently the normal charge is $25 -$30 each way, and guests pay entry fee at arrival Curu.

- Golf trips to the Los Delfines Country Club, where equipment rentals are available. Golfers return to Bahia Luminosa by taxi.- Shopping trips to the town of Paquera may be arranged for 4 or more guests--trips to Paquera are round trip in the Tourist Van.
- Other Land trips and pick ups on the Nicoya Peninsula may be arranged with the Hotel Manager.
Reservations and Payment for Activities, Tours, and Equipment
Please make reservations 24 hours ahead of the activity. Guests desiring to share with others may contact management, which will endeavor to assist. If you have any questions, please ask at the reception office.
All tours must be paid in advance please!All tours leave from and return to Bahia Luminosa. Hourly rates are for time away from Bahia Luminosa.
