Thornton Ring Still Available Via Birks
Brent Stait-Gardner apprises us that the Thornton Hall ring is still available at Birks. The mold is, apparently, at Birks in Montreal, for some reason; if one inquires at the Toronto Birks, blank stares are the likely response.

The prices at last inquiry (circa June 2003) were:
10 kt ring: CDN$535.50* plus taxes and shipping & handling
14 kt ring: CDN$645.75* plus taxes and shipping & handling
Silver ring: CDN$180 plus taxes and shipping & handling

Normally, one must go through one's school to obtain school rings; as Thornton has closed, alums can order independently at Birks' call center, according to National Account Administrator Lyne Broszko.
