Information on most Whitcomb ancestors has been taken verbatim from Charlotte Whitcomb's 1904 work "The Whitcomb Family in America a Biographical Genealoy". Photo copies of this book are available from either Genealogy Publishing Company or Higginson Books. I have no evidence on the information on John Whitcomb's ancestors. What I included is what is floating around the internet.

This is a work in progress. I'm trying to identify all my immigrant ancestors first. I've run into snags recently
1. AOL trashed my whole site and I had to try and restore from my older files
2. Roots and UFT are both gone and the old programs don't run very well on the new computers.
3. AOL Press which I really liked for editing the web created by UFT isn't supported.
I really preferred this format over others I've seen but since I'm not a programmer I may need to change. I'm now using Family Tree Maker but haven't tried their web creation. Maybe I'll pickup a 266 with Windows 95 and do my genealogy on it.
