Oh yeah... he likes Stars Wars,  Dr. Who and Harry Potter!

Here's one of Paul's stories.
For those of you who don't know my dad, he's got an addiction. It's such a shame. He's had it for years. I can't remember exactly how long, but I know it's definitely around 15 years. It's not cigarettes or alcoho,l or even some kind of illegal drug..it's far more serious than that. The poor man is addicted to.......
TREBOR SOFTMINTS! He buys packets and packets of them and is forever eating them. If he gets low on his supply he almost gets into a panic! lol lol That's what make the story which Paul wrote so funny. Paul's a brilliant writter and he's got a good sense of humour too.

GRANDDAD'S TRUNK

I was on my way to my granddad's, on an early Saturday morning.

Whilst I was on the train I became quite bored so I read the newspaper,
the date on it said "Saturday 12th May 2005" the headline was
"Coronation Street dog to have puppies"
"They do print some boring stuff nowadays don't they?" I said to my dad.

Finally we arrived at my granddad's and I greeted my aunt, uncle & granddad
as I usually do, and sat down after our long trip with my granddad next to me.
He asked me to go and fetch his trunk from the cupboard in his room and gave
me some unusual shaped key, which was very dusty, and I'd noticed it on the
mantelpiece for quite some time.

So I got to the cupboard, and turned the rusty handle, and inside on the right
was a small sized trunk, I wondered what he wanted. Maybe he wanted to show
me an old rifle, well he is a war hero, so why not? So to my excitement, I opened
his chest, which was very old, even ancient, and I saw on top of everything, some
newspaper clippings, reading all sorts of things about the war such as "Germany
surrenders" and "Hitler's suicide" and many other clippings about the war being
over, I thought he may have kept them as a souvenir. There was also a medal from
the old times, on which the pin had broke, but still like what you see on the
soldiers nowadays, there was a mini frame, with a black and white picture of a
very young man in uniform. It was my Granddad. It was a smaller version of the
one he keeps in the living room, but what shocked me the most was an unopened
pack of "Trebor Softmints" I didn't think they did them in those days, but I looked
closer, and the sell by date was "July 5th 2007"! They were brand new! So I dragged
the trunk by the handle into the living room, and I was getting excited by what my
Granddad would take so he put his hand inside the trunk, moved it around, and
pulled out.... the Trebor Softmints!

He grinned at me "My secret stash!".....old people you, can't beat them!!!
