Mystery Sword 7

Just to show you that answering sword questions from around the world exposes you to amazing treasures found in dusty attics ..... these photos came in last year with a desperate request for info .... just imagine lifting this out of old uncle Ebeneezers trunk in the barn.

The sword is an Imperial Russian Infantry Officers saber, custom made, and is encrusted with uncut diamonds. The scabbard and hilt are covered with ornate blue enamelwork. Oh how I would love to find one of these at a garage sale .....

From MIKE ...

This is to inform that the "Mystery Sword 7" is marked on one side with the initial of the last Russian Tsar Nicholas 2nd. There is a word on another side of the blade, which reads "Guzunov" - most likely the name of a bladesmith or the owner. Mike.
