Roller Coaster Retardation

I sometimes feel I've cursed myself
With the lousy decisions I've made;
Emotional retardation
Is a malady that does not fade.

Quite often, I can't remember
Exactly which mistake to blame
For a given predicament;
Or if the two are one and the same.

These second guesses never help
When faced with the next decision.
So, to bolster my self-confidence,
I'll face them all with derision.
