It is with great shame that I admit that B’Ellana has been with us many months and still hasn’t got a web page of her own.  It is time that she did!

B’Ellana on the left

B’Ellana and her littermate Grilka came to us from Pat at Small Paws Cattery just over the hill from us. We wanted a kitten, because we wanted him/her to grow up thinking a manic dog was a natural part of life! I chose Grilka because she was the one that came to me when I went to look for a kitten. She was very, very tiny and needed to wait until she was grown a bit before she left. When Grant came to meet her, Pat purrrrsuaded us that two would be better than one. Grant chose B’Ellana because she looked like Sid & was full of character!

To start with B'Ellana was the more nervous kitten. With her huge ears she looked permanently surprised!!

                   Grilka was more adventurous!

There was lots to explore- inside and out!

Unfortunately Grilka did not settle in with us as well as we had hoped. With being an abandoned baby, fostered with B’Ellana’s mum and being so much smaller than her littermates, she wanted to be the TOP ANIMAL! Her expression of this was leaving her mark on the dog’s bed and our bed. Living in a tiny cottage with limited drying facilities and nowhere to keep her away from our bed, meant that we couldn’t keep her. It was with a very heavy heart that I returned her to Pat. She has a happy ending to the story now, as she is renamed Pepsi and had a new home.

Someone said there was a mouse around here!!

What's that??????

Far from being upset at the departure of Grilka, B’Ellana began to blossom as soon as she left- she’d been disgusted with her nasty habits! B’Ellana also began to discover the wonders of having a doggy friend- and how easy it was to upset her by being naughty!!!

B’Ellana seems perfectly content with having a canine friend- I do wish she’d stop bringing her voles for presents though- especially at 2 am!

What would we do without her?
