Wilhelm Reich: A Re-Evaluation

Wilhelm Reich--NYC, November 1997

Wilhelm Reich Centennial:
An Energetic Celebration

The time has come for a fair assessment of Reich's work and a new generation is poised to re-evaluate this body of knowledge objectively.

The Friends of the Institute of Noetic Sciences (FIONS) will hold a centennial symposium on Wilhelm Reich in New York City at the New York Academy of Medicine on Friday, October 31 (7:00 p.m.--9:30 p.m.) and Saturday, November 1, 1997 (8:30 a.m.--6:00 p.m.)

Join FIONS in an exciting, interactive symposium--featuring music, drama, poetry, movement and workshops--honoring this creative genius whose study of orgone energy functions--in living organisms, in the atmosphere, and in the cosmos--is now undergoing a re-evaluation by a new generation.

Topics to be covered include:
--the bioenergetic nature of sexuality and anxiety
--microbiological energy investigations concerning the origin of life
--the discovery of orgone energy and its relation to preventive medicine
--cosmic orgone energy research
--advanced mathematical gravity and antigravity formulae that relate to extraterrestrial space ships and space travel
--dramatized highlights from the Wilhelm Reich Trial

FIONS has gathered a group of practitioners in a variety of energy therapies who will demonstrate such techniques as Therapeutic Touch, Reiki and energy healing to those in attendance. In an optional workshop designed to stimulate self-reflection, people will have an opportunity to explore the powerful human urge to reject what we don't understand.

The speakers at this event will be:

MARY HIGGINS, Director of the Wilhelm Reich Museum and co-editor of Reich's published works.

BERNARD GRAD, PhD,
a former student of Reich.

MICHAEL MANNION,
author of the forthcoming books, Alternative America and Project Mindshift. Mr. Mannion is also writing a book on Reich, Wilhelm Reich: A Re-Evaluation for a New Generation.

PETER ROBBINS, co-author of Left at East Gate--A First-Hand Account of the Bentwaters-Woodbridge UFO Incident.

JOHN MACK, MD has been invited but has not yet confirmed.
