Societe Historique de St. Boniface This genealogical and historical society is an absolute must for franco-manitoban and metis genealogy and history. They hold the collection of Father Pierre Picton who passed away in 1963. The collection compiles years of research from Church records as well as oral history from conversations with elders. It consists of several thousand documents all written by the hand of this tireless researcher. In addition they also hold a computerised database compiled over several years by Alfred Fortier and extracted from Metis Script applications in Manitoba and the North-West Territories, 19th Century Census, and Manitoban parish records.

Hudson's Bay Company Archives The Hudson's Bay Company Archives represent a rich documentation of three centuries of history as the Company grew and expanded in the vast territories of Rupert's Land, which eventually became part of Canada. This unique ten-day celebration, themed on the fur trade era, is held each February in St-Boniface, Winnipeg's French Quarter. It celebrates the "joie de vivre" of the fur traders. It's a place of sights, ceremony and celebration, a reflection of Canada's unique French-Canadian heritage, and a showcase of historic and cultural treasures.
