Proteau Family of Manitoba
This page contains all of the information that I have about my first Proteau ancestor to come to Manitoba, Onesime Proteau. I have found many of his ancestors. Several branches go all the way back to France. Click on the names in the genealogy below to follow the branches of the family tree.

Biography of Onesime Proteau
Under construction..........come again later.....I'm planning to write up all the information that I know about Onesime. I know very little about him and his family. Please email me and tell me what you know about Onesime and his life. Would your elders like to write some articles?

Please Help
This page is under construction. Some items I'm planning to have here are:
- Pictures of Onesime and his family.
- Pictures of parish maps highlighting the different pieces of land that he owned.
- Pictures of old documents if any exist out there. It would be nice to post a copy of a letter written by him with his signature.
- A complete biography of Onesime
- Similar web pages and biographies for each of Onesime's children.
- News of upcoming family events, other things of interest to the whole family.
To accomplish this, I need some help:
- Is this genealogical data incorrect or incomplete?
- Do you know anything biographical about Onesime?
- Do you have any old documents in your sock drawer?
- Do you have any pictures you could send me, get copied, or get scanned?
- Do you have any news that you want posted here?
- Can you write a biography about your father, mother, grandfather or grandmother?
- Can you interview your father or grandfather and ask him to describe his childhood, his family life, and his parents?
- Are you a researcher too? Email me. We can try to get together to trade information or cooperate in our research.
- Any volunteers to do some research? Is anyone familiar with research of land records or the Provincial Archives?
If you can help in any way or if you just want to offer moral support or criticism, please
email me.
