SHADOWS Halloween Party
My short-story collection, THE LAST TRUMPET, is now available from Wildside Press. This collection showcases a number of my Lovecraftian tales going back to Threnody, the story that started it all. The stories in THE LAST TRUMPET have a definite beginning and a definite ending, giving the various tales a kind of novel-like continuity. Also look for my novel, BALAK, soon to be released by Wildside as well.
For over a decade, I edited DEATHREALM Magazine, which I retired in 1997 to more actively pursue my own writing ventures. DEATHREALM was winner of the International Horror Critics Guild Award for Best Magazine of 1995, one of the many honors bestowed upon the magazine. In its more than 10-year history, DEATHREALM featured hundreds of short stories by authors ranging from the most established professionals to young, aspiring first-timers, many of whom proceeded to carve out names for themselves in the dark fantasy field.
I am currently working on a World War II historical dark fantasy, entitled BLUE DEVIL ISLAND. It's the story of a fictitious US Navy squadron in the Pacific during the Solomons campaign of late 1943, and its mysterious encounters on a remote tropical island.

Military history, especially aviation, being a favorite subject of mine, I have found myself heavily involved in AIR WARRIOR online, and am a staff member of the Kesmai online gaming system. Little is more satisfying after a long day of labor than going up in a P51 Mustang or P38 Lightning and shooting down a bunch of dweebs at 20,000 ft.
