About Jane Markstrom, the
Miniaturist
Maker of handcrafted scale miniatures,
primarily 1/4" scale, most of Jane's creations are one of a kind. Using wood,
clay and fabric, these originals will add unique creations to your
collections.
A crafter for most of her life, Jane has been involved in
miniatures for 13 years. A proud member of NAME, she served as the North Dakota
State Representative for a number of years and was the Door Prize Chairman for
the Houston National Houseparty in 1999. Teaching classes and sharing
information with others are the high points of this hobby.
Jane has also
begun to develop her skills at lathe turning. She turns all types of wood and
especially loves to turn talc. All of these items are made on the 1/4 inch
scale.
Jane's third crafting love is hand sewing miniature Teddy Bears.
Ranging in size from 1.5" to 3" tall, these fully jointed bears are made from
upholstery fabric.
