Paul Westerberg drawing (Below)...The latest Replacements CD "Don't You Know Who I Think I Was" and the soundtrack for the movie "Open Season" are both great! I have been listening to the Replacements and Paul a lot lately, my favorite songs are "They're Blind", "Even Here We Are", "Talent Show" and "Portland" right now.

This week, I read that Elliott Smith died. He was one of the greatest singer/songwriters of our time. When I first heard his music, I had to hear everything he did. The poets of our time are songwriters like Elliott...sad to say, but it's true, there are still poets out there, but the ones we can listen to reach out to us. Somehow when I listen to Elliott's music, as sad as some of it can be, it gave me hope. Everybody in life struggles, yet listening to him always inspired me to keep going. It's so weird, after I heard about his death, I noticed that I had kept a ticket stub from his Atlanta show in 2000 at the Tabernacle, that show was on October 21st, the same day he died. Then I happened upon "GoodWill Hunting" on tv and Robin Williams' character was talking about the day he met his wife.Oct21st...I hope Elliott is at peace...he was a beautiful person, an angel...

What's on My Ipod shuffle?Eliott Smith, Aimee Mann, Michael Penn(old and new especially Mr. Hollywood Jr. 1947), Elvis Costello, the hilarious Patton Oswalt (gotta have the comic relief between music), Steve Earle, old Replacements, and newer Paul Westerberg stuff(especially "Besterberg"), Grant Lee Phillips (and older Grant Lee Buffalo) and Ben Folds. Didn't think I'd ever like it, but I do.

This is a drum head that Aimee Mann signed. When my husband gave it to me I thought, I am not into autographs what can I do with this,so I made it into an Aimee piece with some lyrics from her songs, etc. Thank goodness he did give it to me because I will never be able to part with it, and I need to keep more of my own work
