A total of more than 70 temples (out of entire 600 Nichiren Shoshu
temples; more than 10 %)were police investigated. In some cases, they were
suspended from indictment. However, the suspension of indictment is not
the "acquittal." It is still a crime and if it were prosecuted,
the court would recognize it as guilty. Since these priests apologized,
or it was the first crime of a particular priest. Therefore, these circumstances
were taken into consideration, and they were able to barely escape the
prosecution.
The evil deeds of Nichiren Shoshu Nikken sect are not limited to the lost
ashes and illegal maintenance of ashes, but also include shameful criminal
acts in overseas as shown below:
4. SECRET TEMPLE CONSTRUCTION AND
ILLEGAL NICHIREN SHOSHU OFFICE IN KOREA
August 1991: Nikken High Priest purchased a four-storied building
in Pusan City to use as a temple in Korea. But Nikken made a false application
to the administrative office that this building is a welfare facility for
elderly people. Nikken deceived both the administrative office and neighboring
inhabitants.
October 1992: This plan was detected. The administrtive office made strict
punishments such as compulsory due and the suspension of supplies of water
and electricity. Nikken could not use this place as a religious facility.
As a consequence, Nikken sect retreated from the dummy temple an advertised
the building for sale.
1991 - 1992: Rev. Mohri smuggled 10 million Japanese Yen from Nikken High
Priest to Korea Hokkeko.
July 1994: Rev. Mori was punished by a fine of 7 million Won (about 840,000
Yen) from Pusan District Court. Two Korean Hokkeko leaders were also punished
with fines.
August 1995: Rev. Mori was also punished in Japan with a fine of 200,000
Yen from the Nogoya Summary Court.

(B) In 1995, 3 Nikken Sect priests (Sasaki, Ishibashi and Tajima) were
deported from Korea because they engaged in illegal propagation activity
using a tourist visa.
(C) On 2/24/95, Korean Nichiren Shoshu Office was compulsorily investigated.
3 TV stations, and 3 radio statios blamed Nikken High Priest for directing
illegal activities.

(D) On April 8, 1998, Nikken Sect Priest (Yukan Sasaki)
was ordered for deportation from Korea for his ongoing illegal propagation
activities
5. NIKKEN SECT WAS SENTENCED
GUILTY FOUR TIMES BY BRAZILIAN JUDICATURE.
June 1991: High Priest Nikken planned to take over Ichijo-ji which
built based upon sincere donations of Brazil Soka Gakkai members. Priesthood
and Danto held a "fake" regular general meeting of the NSTB (Nichiren
Shoshu Temple Brazil), and illegally appointed the new director from Nikken
side, thereby dismissing the director of NSTB (Brazil SGI side).
September 1992: The first court trial at the Saint Paulo District Court
judged that all deeds by Nichiren Shoshu including the discharge of the
director by Nikken were completely ineffective.
April 1995: The second court trial at Saint Paulo State Higher Court also
made the same judgment. Appealing to this decision, the Nikken sect made
an application for appealing to the Federal Supreme Court and Federal Higher
Court through the Saint Paulo State Higher Court. But, the fourth vice
chief at the Saint Paulo State Higher Court rejected this.
April 1996: The Nikken sect further appealed to the Federal Higher Court.
However, Federal Higher Court of Brazil rejected this appealing. The decision
was published on the Official Gazette issued by Federal Government Judicature
dated 12th April, 1996. The decisions read, "This application of objection
is not worthy for acceptance." "This application of objection
does not satisfy necessary conditions to make the final appeal possible."
"It is clear that the decision in the second court trial is not unfair."
"The decision for rejection of final appeal to Federal Higher Court
by Saint Paulo State Higher Court is recognized, and this application of
objection is rejected". (Source: Seikyo Shimbun and Soka Shimpo)
