TEXTbook 1.6

Download TEXTbook 1.6 Now.

TEXTbook allows you to read, sort and search all at once all text files you put into a set of folders. TEXTbook reads text files written by any application as well as text clipping files and any e-mail or downloaded file saved as text. With TEXTbook 1.6, you can write your own text files or edit any file that TEXTbook can open, and create hypertext links between text or files.

TEXTbook creates a pop-up menu of all of the folders in your "TEXTbook" and lists the files in the selected folder in the scrolling list below the menu. Clicking on any file name in the list will bring the contents of that file (text or picture) into view in the main field to the right of the list. There can be as many as 128 folders in the menu and 1000's of files in the list (up to 32,000 in one TEXTbook).

Hypertext links within and between files are supported and text files can have up to 10 pictures connected to them that can be displayed by clicking one of the "PICT" buttons. PICT files can also be displayed in the main window.

TEXTbook can be used for reading, sorting and searching e-mail files; reading and editing downloaded text files; storing programming libraries; organizing your "Read Me" files; cataloging files on CD-ROM or disk; creating a cook book; providing a help application for other applications; writing or drafting a technical manual or other large book; or for any use where a large number of files need to be viewed and searched together. Several people could independently write sections of a book and bring them together with TEXTbook. A sample TEXTbook folder is included that demonstrates how TEXTbook works.

With your registration of TEXTbook 1.6 you will get our Text Utility Trio 1.2 free, which includes three simple utilities:

1) Clip Tagger 1.3, which allows you to edit, rename and print text clippings easily and quickly.
2) TEXTsplitter 1.2, which splits files larger than 32K in length into several smaller files of equal size, converting them to SimpleText© documents that can be opened and read by TEXTbook, and
3) TEXTqueue 1.2, which combines many small text files and text clippings into one larger (32K or less) file.

TEXTbook also contains the Kagi Register program so you can order by e-mail using your credit card.
