Twila is Pregnant!--Twila Paris has announced that she and her husband Jack Wright are expecting their first child this April. Adding to the excitement is the recording of Paris' first-ever lullabies album slated for March 2001.

"God is in Control" gets honored as the 3rd most successful song of the 90's! --CCM together with Multimediacan and "20 the Countdown Magazine" have just released the list of the Top 20 songs of the 90's! And its no surprise that Twila Paris is at the Top of that list! Her #1song from 1994 "God is in Control" was named the 3rd most succesful song of the 90's! Read the full list below:

Twila Accepted in Arkansas Walk of Fame--Twila will be inducted into the Arkansas Walk of Fame in Hot Springs and have a bronze plaque imbedded in the sidewalk sometime in the summer of 2001.

Twila sings a Christmas Duet with Michael Crawford--Michael Crawford released A Christmas Album which has the song "Strange Way to Save the World." Twila Multimedia beautiful as ever on this song with Michael. Check it out!

True North Fall Tour Scheduled--[via Crosswalk] One of the most respected artists in Christian music, Twila Paris, is set to embark on a fall tour in support of True North, her highly anticipated new Sparrow Records' project which is releasing September 21. The tour will feature award-winning Myrrh recording artist Fernando Ortega and visit 35 cities in 1999, encompassing the top markets of Atlanta, Cincinnati, Detroit, Houston, Minneapolis, and Nashville, among many others. Twila's New and Upcoming Album--Twila recently finished recording her new album "True North" in Nashville. Charlie Peacock was the producer this time around. The album will be released in September. Later this fall she will do a tour of the new album.

1999 Dove Awards--Twila was nominated in two categories this year for the 1999 Annual Dove Awards. Her album "Perennial" was nominated in the "Inspirational Album of the Year." Her concert video Perennial in Concert: A Season of Worship was nominated in the "Long-Form Music Video of the Year." Her part in the concert video My Utmost For His Highest was also nominated in the same category. The Dove Awards were held March 24, 1999 in the Nashville Arena.

1998 Christian Music Chart--Two of Twila's songs made it to the 1998 Christian Music Chart according to CCM Magazine. Her song My Lips Will Praise You came in at #5 on the Top 20 Inspirational Songs of 1998! Fountain of Grace came in at #7.

New Upcoming Album!--Twila has begun pre-producing her new album. Recording should begin sometime in early spring!

Christmas Celebration Concert Tour

Twila Paris, Crystal Lewis, Anointed, Avalon, and Nicole Nordeman just finished up the Christmas Celebration Tour.

Twila Long-Form Concert Video--Twila Paris filmed a long-form concert video at Trinity Music City in Hendersonville, Tennessee. Twila performed songs from her new recording Perennial: Songs for the Seasons of Life, along with other classics. This event, Twila's only live full concert of 1998, featured a live band, orchestra and choir. This long-form video will release on Sparrow [October 20] and will be broadcast on television on a future date.--Gospelweb

New Various Artist Album--Twila Paris with other female artists such as Susan Ashton, Sierra, Margaret Becker, Cheri Keaggy, and Michelle Tumes will be making a new 2-CD album called Listen to Our Hearts. "This album features female artists performing their favorite worship songs and current popular hits, along with artist interview segments on various life and faith issues. The album, which hits the shelves on AUG 11th, is the first of a three-part series by the same name. Volume two will follow in the Fall!" --CCM

Twila was recently on the cover of CCM Magazine, along with Ron Kenoly and Chris Rice. The main article of the magazine is about Worship. Twila gives some of her insights about worship in the article.

New Album--Twila has come out with a new album!! It's called Perennial: Songs for the Seasons of Life. This album was released March 24th. This album is a lot like her album "Sanctuary." It's definitely a praise and worship album. Twila recreates some classic hymns for the album and also adds her own praise and worship songs.

New Devotional--Twila Paris has also come out with her own devotional. This devotional goes along with Twila's new CD. It's called Perennial Devotions for the Seasons of Life (Zondervan). She writes sixty meditations from her heart in the devotional. She shares the lessons God has woven through her life, tying them in to the four seasons in a garden. This devotional was also released March 24th. Look for it now at your local Christian bookstore.

Concert Video--Also, the "My Utmost for His Highest" concert video was recently released. Twila played a big role in this concert. Look for it at your nearest Christian bookstore or order it online at http://www.christianbook.com.
