The last few books I read are:
Memoirs of a Jewish Extremist. by Yossi Klein Helevi (1995, Little Brown, $23). This Jerusalem Report reporter, and former subject of the documentary, "Kaddish" writes about his younger days in Betar and the JDL. Kind of like the Jewish Kerouac.

The Jew in the Lotus. by Rodger Kamenentz (1994, HarperCollins, $12). a bunch of notable Jews go to India to see the Dali Lama.

Time on Fire. by Evan Handler (1996, Little Brown, $23). Evan is a rising star on Broadway and then finds out that he has leukemia. The story of his 7+ year battle unfolds.

Going Up Country: Travel Essays by Peace Corps Writers. edited by John Coyne (1994, Scribners, $21). travel essays by peace corps-niks of the 60's.

Prophets in the Dark: How Xerox Reinvented Itself and Beat Back the Japanese. by Kearn and Nadler. (1992, HarperBusiness, $12). Former Xerox CEO tells how he tried to turn Xerox around. Great history of xerography.

Investment Biker: On the Road with Jim Rogers. by Jim Rogers. (1994, Random House). Jim Rogers of investment fame, rides his motorcycle around the world and discusses worldwide investing.

Real Change Leaders. by John Katzenbach and McKinsey (1996, Time Books/Random House, $25). McKinsey team discusses top CEO's and how they change their organizations.
