This is Chewie, named after Chewbacca from the Star Wars Trilogy. He is a brown mackerel tabby with white Maine Coon with many similarities to a Wookiee. Like his namesake, Chewie has long shaggy fur and communicates in a series of grunts, chirps and soft meows. His roar, however, is far from terrifying!

The mighty Chewbacca is used to having a price on those big lynx tips of his because of his involvement with the Rebellion. Although he is typically brave and powerful, Chewie once succumbed to fear..... A sinking mylar balloon sent him scurrying under the table for cover. You could almost hear him shouting, "The sky is falling!"

His breeder, Bethany (Tadofa Somalis), won't let him come back to her house because he thinks he is a Somali. At 13 pounds and still growing (Daddy weighs in at about 20 pounds), you don't want a BIG cat jumping onto high places that thinks he can get anywhere that the Somalis can! As a matter of fact, he jumped onto the windowsill at Symbari Somalis and couldn't get down because he was too large to turn around in the small bathroom window.
