This is a simple technique I came up with for the Inner bevel feature in Eye Candy for using with PSP 4.12 .

Start with an new image in 16 million colors, 300 wide by 150 high. Background color White. Foreground color Blue(R=0;G=0;B=128). Choose the text tool, type in your text. I used the "Impact" font at 48 points for this, because I figured everyone would have that font:)
You should have this CLICK

Go to Image>Plug-in Filters>Eye Candy>Swirl. Choose the "45 degree twist" from the pull down window.Whirlpool=100; smear=15; Twist=45; streak=50. Click the check mark.
You should have this CLICK

Go to Image>Plug-in Filters>Eye Candy>Inner Bevel. Width=12; shape=button; smoothness=4; shadow=60; brightness=97;highlight sharpness=48; direction=146; inclination=59. click the check mark.
With the text still selected, go to Image>Special Effects>Chisel. Size=1 tranparent selected, click ok.Go to Image>Edge Filters>Edge Enhance.

Now if you wish to, you can add a drop shadow to add some depth. With the text still selected, go to Image>Special Effects>Add Drop Shadow. Color black, Opacity=125; Blur=14; Offset=verticle=4 Horizontal=4. click OK. Thats it!

There are other ways you can use this, try some different colors, or swirl patterns, and experiment. Have fun!!
