Welcome to the most exciting step
forward in the genealogical study of the surname McWhirter and all of it's
many variants!
Most of us have hit brick walls in our McWh*rter surname research, yet
we know that all McWh*rters come from a common stock. Our goals are to find
a common ancestor or ancestors and to find genetic links among all the branches
of the surname.
The purpose of this website is to disseminate information gleaned from
the collection and testing of DNA from males with the surname McWh*rter.
Participants are identified by the test kit number only. That number
is linked to that participant's family tree, so that our results will be
fully optimized. Please see the
