Method Of Preparation:
Dissolve the Dihydroergotamine Mesylate in the alcohol then add the glycerin, add the 1/2 normal preserved saline slowly with constant stirring. Allow suspension to hydrate then place 5mls of suspension in metered dose nasal spray bottles. The metered dose spray bottle will supply 100mg of suspension that contains
250mcg of Dihydroergotamine Mesylate. Dosage would be 4 sprays nasally every hour upto 12 sprays (3mgs) in 24 hours.
