Switzerland is a small
expensive country where a railpass can save you money --particularly
if you plan to do scenic train rides. In addition, if you are traveling with
another person and plan to take lots of trains, lifts, and boats, the
Swiss Flexi railpasses are usually the best
value. You may purchase a second-class pass at any age. Passes are available
in consecutive and flexi versions and are Free
for children under the age of 16 who are traveling with parents. Saver passes
are a great deal for 2 or more people traveling together.
For a few days in Switzerland,
your Selectpass or Eurailpass
is fine. It can get you discounts on some lifts and mountain trains and
free boat trips on Swiss lakes. Those who are traveling through France +Italy
or Spain will want to add a Combo pass to your Swiss
pass.
