Other Interesting GREEN HORNET Facts
1) Who is Britt Reid related to?
In the radio dramas, Britt Reid is the son of Dan Reid, who was the
Lone Ranger's nephew (John Reid). For TV, it has been suggested that
John Reid is Britt's great-grand uncle.
2) Batman has all kinds of cool gizmos...What does the Green Hornet use?
The number 1 piece of equipment would have to be the Black Beauty,
the Hornet's souped-up car. It was really a 1966 Chrysler Imperial
rebuilt by Hollywood customizer Dean Jeffries at a reported cost of $50,000.
Some of Black Beauty's equipment includes a special exhaust device that
spreads ice over the road, and brushes behind the rear wheels which, when
lowered, sweep away tire tracks. For personal equipment, the Green Hornet
uses a special nonlethal gas gun and a sting gun able to penetrate steel.
