MARYLEBONE 27 September 2002. London is, of course, where that Holmes fellow lived (shared quarters with Watson on Baker Street, I think). Besides being the center of the Canon, it has a bit to do with the British Empire (and other Victorian stuff) as well. |
DARTMOOR 25 September 2002. We are fairly up-to-date here on the moor, and my neighbors, Sir Henry Baskerville and Violet Hunter, and I are able to run a cyberspace Sherlock Holmes Chat (on AOL) quite comfortably from our respective residences. This group has taken the informal name of The Scandalous Bohemians, and has a fine old time every Sunday evening at 8:00 Eastern Time.

FERNWORTHY 24 August 2002. That Watson fellow was a very nice person, but I've read some of the things he wrote, and let me tell you, he does have little problems getting things straight. My daughter has hardly spoken to me since she read what he said about us in that dog story he wrote. |
BSI MEMBER Ms Violet Hunter (Regina Stinson) is now "A Little Ribston-Pippin" after this January's BSI dinner. Congratulations Regina! NOW AVAILABLE JUST THE FACTS DATABASE NOW AVAILABLE EDARTMOOR 10 July 2004. We are pleased to announce (somewhat belately) that a link to (our) Inspector Hopkins' Canonical Database is now available on our Scandalous Bohemian page. This is an EXCELlent resource that Scandalous Bohemians and all other Sherlockians will greatly appreciate. BOHEMIAN Edition of SCANDAL PUBLISHED DARTMOOR 3 March 2004. A new edition of our namesake publication has been added to this web site. It offers, in addition to a selection of the original Paget illustrations, a glossary of some of the terms whose meanings may have lapsed in the years since the original publication. These are 'neutral' in that they advance no particular interpretations, leaving that job to the rest of the site. IDENTIFIED -*- NAMES PROVIDE VITAL CLUES LONDON 16 November 2002. A chance discovery of the existence of a small City church has led to the tentative conclusion that it may be the site of the Adler/Norton nuptuals. LONDON 4 November 2002. More extensive linkage has been added to The Structure of a Scandal page, to enable the principals of the case to be better tracked on the site. FERNWORTHY 2 October 2002. Some distressing information about the Fernworthy Wood has come to light, necessitating that a coda be added to the Baskerville Sitings page. OXFORD 28 September 2002. The analytical theories of Fr Ronald Knox have been used to analyse A Scandal in Bohemia. The results are -- well -- scandalous. |
