Dont Forget the Baking Powder
By Jean R. Pitts
Dont forget the baking powder! What does this have to do with a positive message? Get out your Mixing Bowl...Lets make biscuits.
First, lets put the dry ingredients in a mixing bowl: flour, salt, some like to add a pinch of sugar, mix well. Add the liquid and solid ingredients, shape and cut out the dough, place in the oven and bake. What? The biscuits didnt rise...I forgot the baking powder!
When we expect a positive change in our circumstance, sometimes we are disappointed. When we seek or desire a change in our circumstance we place our faith in the change, yet there are times that baking powder works in biscuits...is LOVE.
Whether its a desired change in your health, finance, family matters or your work environment, check out your attitude. Are you walking in LOVE? Just as biscuit mix is activated when baking powder is added to theingredients; our faith is activated byLOVE.
Change is an internal process. Although, there are times we want to blame our circumstances on external factors, we really hae control of our situtations when we examine them from the inside-out.
The external influence on our lives is learned behavior. When you face situations and it seems that everywhere you turn the doors are closed, you need to stop and examine your inner source. How is your attitude?
If you are seeking good will, remember you must show favor-good will. If you want to be blessed, you must find ways to bless others. If you want mercy, its necesssary to show mercy. If there is a situtation that needs reconciliation, you take the first step for reconceiliation. If you want to be forgiven-forgive. It goes back to the law of the universe, Sowing and Reaping....This principal works for mankind. The process to making biscuits is simple, just --- Dont Forget The Baking Powder.
