With all the awards floating around cyberspace these days, who needs another? Is The Mickey Award just one more banner to decorate one's web site with? Not at all !
First of all, you don't need a web site to qualify ... you don't even need a computer! What you do need is a greyhound whom you love and care for. The Mickey Award is less of an award and more of a campaign ribbon. It signifies that you are one of a growing army of people who care enough to rescue and adopt an ex-racing greyhound ... that one more greyhound is alive and well in someone's home rather than rotting in the doggie morgue!
There are thousands of people out there who have taken a greyhound into their home and heart ... they all deserve The Mickey Award ! The problem is that I don't know them all. So here's what Mickey and I are going to do:
(1) We will nominate our greyhound friends, then the nominees will nominate their greyhound friends, and so on. Of course, you may nominate yourself ... just click on 
for a handy cyberform.
(2) If the nominators give me their lists, I will be glad to post the names of the new members in our "roll of honor". Simply send me [a] name of new member, [b] name/s of their greyhound/s, [c] town/state/country where they live (optional), [d] their email address (if available), [e] their web site URL (if available), and [f] any other details you or they want to included.
